This is Durometer to comply with JIS K 6253 (new JIS) standard established in 1993 for the purpose of conforming to ISO (International Standard Organization). Durometrers consist of 3 types namely, Type A for medium hardness, Type D for high hardness and Type E for low hardness. Type A tends to indicates higher value by 1~2 points compared with former Type A durometers. Type D is suitable for hard rubber having more than 90 hardness measured by type A durometer and Type E is suitable for soft rubber of which hardness is 20 and below measured by Type A durometers.

Durometer is a testing machine. In case that it corresponds to "Monitoring Machine" and "Measuring Machine" of ISO 9001 (JIS G 9001), controlling machines along with it is needed. The Teclock GX-610II is an Automatic, Digital Shore Hardness Durometer test stand.The GX-610II is specifically designed for use with Teclock branded GS series Analogue and GSD series Digital Durometers.It is features a VFD (Vacuum Fluroescent Display) touch-screen display and is designed with constant speed and load function to remove the inconsistencies of testing that can occur when using a manual method, especially if multiple users are involved. This stand is motorised with automatic loading and unloading operation. User can program the rate of descent to suit their application. The stand adopts a threaded shaft for fine adjustment of height and prevention of dropping the Durometer quickly. It is compact in size, yet sturdy in construction providing stability and support.

Type A durometer for general rubber (medium hardness).It is a "Type A durometer (for medium hardness)" widely used in domestic and overseas standards such as JIS K 6253-3, ISO 7619-1, and ASTM D 2240. It is the mainstream for measuring the hardness of various rubber products.The shape of the push needle is a conical trapezoid with a height of 2.50 mm.The pressurized surface that comes into contact with the sample is as wide as 44 mm wide x 18 mm deep, enabling stable measurement. There is a long leg type (AL type) that can measure even if the measurement part of the sample is narrow or dented.
