Raspberry Pi Raspberry Pi 4 Model B/8GB

The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B offers significant upgrades over its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, including CPU, RAM, USB, and networking. This product is an 8GB model that complies with the Technical Standards Certification (GITE). CPU: The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B's CPU uses the ARM Cortex-A72 architecture and operates at 1.5GHz. RAM: While the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ only had a 1GB model, an 8GB model has been added to the lineup. The RAM standard has also been upgraded from DDR2 to DDR4. Video Output/GPU: The video output connector has been upgraded from one full-size HDMI (Type A) port to two micro HDMI (Type D) ports, allowing for dual-screen output. The GPU has been upgraded from VideoCore IV to VI, adding support for 4K60p, H.265 decoding, OpenGL ES 3.0, and more. Ethernet (Wired LAN) Gigabit Ethernet (wired LAN) speeds have also been significantly increased from 300Mbps via USB 2.0 on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ to 1000Mbps (logical). Bluetooth: Bluetooth 5.0 has been upgraded from Bluetooth 4.2. USB Interface: The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+'s four USB 2.0 ports have been upgraded to two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. Power: The power input connector has been upgraded to USB Type-C, allowing for higher current. Power requirements have also been increased to 5V/3A. Compatibility: The Raspberry Pi 4 Model B has changed its video output and power connector, resulting in some incompatibility with some options, such as cases and AC adapters. The size, shape, and GPIO pin specifications have not changed, so most HATs and modules can be used with the previous model.
