Magnaflux Magnetic Particle Testing

These kits include a magnetic yoke and particles for dry, nonfluorescent magnetic particle inspection (MPI) to locate quality issues in welds. Each leg on the yoke is placed on opposites sides of the weld to magnetize the metal. Dry particles are sprinkled on the surface and are drawn to flaws. Dry particle inspection is less likely to detect slight defects than wet particle inspection. Nonfluorescent particle testing is used in well-lighted areas and does not require an ultraviolet light.
