This is the official Raspberry Pi 7-inch touch panel display.
The screen resolution has been increased from the previous model to 1280 x 720 dots (800 x 480 on the previous model), and it has multi-touch functionality with up to 5 points.
It is used by connecting to the DSI interface on the Raspberry Pi board. The Raspberry Pi itself can be fixed to the back of the display to form an integrated structure.
The screen can be rotated using software, allowing it to be used in either landscape or portrait orientation.
Power can be supplied from the Raspberry Pi's GPIO connector, so no additional power supply is required.
Compatible with most Raspberry Pi models except for the earliest models and the Zero series.
