Sumitomo Heavy Industry Cyclo reducer 6000 Series

The "curved plate" is the heart of the Cyclo reducer. Unlike involute gears, it has a unique smooth curve (epitrochoid parallel curve).
The internal gear also uses a unique arc tooth profile, which allows for smooth rolling contact without tooth breakage.
The combination of the internal planetary gear mechanism and this unique arc tooth profile allows for a high reduction ratio with fewer reduction stages, which means that it is possible to achieve both high efficiency and a high reduction ratio.
The meshing ratio is 2 to 3 times higher than that of involute gears, and even if shock loads occur, they are dispersed and absorbed by many teeth, making it a tough reducer with a long life.
The material used for the reducer section is high carbon, high chromium bearing steel, which is highly resistant to wear and fatigue.
