IKA pipettes include three interchangeable handles in different shapes and materials in the delivery. Convenient and fast adjustment of the pipetting volume
The pipetting volume is adjusted in two stages (fine and coarse). Locking and unlocking the volume is also carried out in the same way as fine adjustment with one hand using the multifunction button.

Direct ejection of the pipette tip
After pipetting, the pipette tip is ejected quickly and without wasting time positioning the hand by simply pressing the central multifunction button. The rounded design means that one-handed ejection works equally well for right- and left-handed users.
Robust and smooth
The piston and cone tip are made of DLC-coated stainless steel. DLC stands for diamond-like carbon and is a type of diamond-like carbon that exhibits high wear and corrosion resistance, along with a certain hardness and a low friction index. The DLC coating means the cone tip is insensitive and also ensures that the pipette tip is always in perfect condition and securely attached, without leakage. The excellent anti-friction properties of the DLC also mean that the pipette does not need to be re-lubricated frequently. The benefit of the coating for the user is primarily the consistent and low level of force required when drawing up and dispensing the liquid to be pipetted.
Maintenance-friendly, safe process and easy to clean
Regular cleaning and maintenance of the pipettes guarantees a long product life. The volume unit with piston and seal can be completely replaced with just a few hand movements. Very easy assembly with just one click and thus a safe process.
Adjusting safely and without tools
If you detect deviations in the calibration, the pipette usually needs to be adjusted. No tools are required to adjust the IKA PETTE. This saves the user valuable time searching for the right tool. The pipette is then secured against accidental adjustment.
Easy acquisition, documentation and monitoring
The acquisition, documentation and monitoring of equipment and processes are essential in most laboratories. The IKA PETTE serial number can be scanned from the QR Code on the outside of the instrument, easily and without transfer errors. The serial number and the pipette are uniquely linked.
Autoclavable at 121 °C
The IKA PETTE is suitable for heat and high-pressure sterilization. Thanks to its simple construction, the pipette can be cleaned and autoclaved either complete or disassembled.
Wide range of pipette tips
All IKA PETTE models are compatible with pipette tips from most manufacturers. The standard color-coded grey, yellow and blue pipette tips always fit into our pipettes, and are marked accordingly. This means that there is a wide range of pipette tips to choose from and you can be sure that only suitable pipette tips are installed.
