Description
Hardwired ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) prevent electric shock from ground faults. During a ground fault, electricity unintentionally flows toward the ground and may shock people who are in the current's path. GFCIs are wired into a circuit and have sensing modules that trip circuit breakers during a ground fault incident to cut off the current. They're used with electrical receptacles in moist, humid, and wet environments.
