INGERSOLL RAND Air-Powered Vertical Grinder

Vertical grinders rotate grinding wheels to remove material from large, flat surfaces. The wheel mounts beneath the tool body, so the weight of the tool applies uniform pressure to the wheel for greater feed force and more aggressive material removal than an angle grinder. They have a back handle and a side handle to maintain control with two hands while grinding. Vertical grinders are commonly used for heavy stock removal and rough grinding in metal fabrication operations. These tools run on compressed air and contain few moving parts, so they tend to run cool and have a long lifespan.
