BMBio "Platinum Chip" has a very smooth surface. This is the reason for platinum.
Even with 500x polypropylene tips from other manufacturers, there are clearly linear indentations, making it easy for samples to remain.
You can see the unevenness that cannot be covered with silicone coating from other manufacturers' siliconized chips. It can also be assumed that samples tend to remain.

Using BMBio's "Platinum Chip" and other companies' chips as test samples, Thermo Fisher Scientific's "BigDyeTerminatorReadyReactionMix" was used as a test sample. After aspirating the sample into a 100 μl chip, draining, washing, and rinsing, the chip was completely drained. The graph on the right was measured using a spectrophotometer. As a result, it can be seen that the amount of residual liquid in the BMBio "Platinum Chip" is extremely small compared to other companies' chips.
Additionally, when sampling a reagent containing a highly concentrated and viscous glycerol-containing enzyme, residual liquid can be clearly seen with a regular pipette tip (see below).
This loss of reagents during PCR and DNA sequencing can cause problems with research results and increase reagent costs.
Based on the representative comparisons above, the BMBio "Platinum Chip" can guarantee maximum sampling of enzymes and DNA.
Ordinary polypropylene chips cannot achieve the performance of BMBio "Platinum Chips" due to their inherent limitations in material composition.
