A method that closes the circuit by contact between the pressure indicator needle and the setting needle. It is used for alarms such as bells, buzzers, and flashing lamps. Precise setting is possible because the setting needle is set on the indicated scale. The dead band is very small compared to other pressure gauges with contacts. The contact material uses platinum-platinum. The setting is variable over the scale angle (270°) full scale range.
In the case of 1 contact, both 100 and 150 are SPDT (1ab) contacts.
