This coated filter consists of two quartz fiber (Type R-100) filters, one coated with sodium carbonate and the other uncoated. These filters, along with a cellulose support, are pre-loaded and assembled into a 37 mm cassette. It is used for sampling hydrogen bromide, hydrogen chloride, and nitric acid.
SKC Coated Filters comply with the test method standards of various institutions and offer a convenient alternative to wet chemical analysis using impingers. As ready-to-use coated filters, they can be used to capture compounds present as aerosols or mist, as well as some high-boiling point vapors.
