This is just the metal bar of a "balance scale," which has been widely used on ships and in markets since ancient times.
The bar scale is a simple yet reliable scale that has been used for everyday weighing and on ships since ancient times.
Its design allows you to see the balance state at a glance, making it intuitive to operate, and it requires no power supply.
It has a first and second cord; the maximum weighing capacity is achieved when using the first cord, and the maximum weighing capacity when using the second cord is called the "hanging capacity," with different minimum scale divisions for each.
Weighing and sorting work on board the ship, etc.
