SIGMAKOKI Cylindrical Plano-Convex Lens Uncoated Type CLB Series

Cylindrical plano-convex lenses have the curvature of a convex lens in the vertical direction, but no curvature in the horizontal direction. They are used in experiments to focus laser light into a thin line, and to create a wide sheet of light used in fluid measurement. This lens is made of BK7 and is for the visible to near-infrared range. Three types of lenses with anti-reflective coating are also available: visible, near-infrared, and infrared. By using a cylindrical lens in an optical system, you can change the beam shape and the aspect ratio of the illumination light. A cylindrical lens holder (CHA) is available to fix the cylindrical lens. *Cylindrical plano-convex lenses have chromatic aberration, and the focal length changes depending on the wavelength. *Cylindrical plano-convex lenses have a direction in which light is allowed to enter. *Always allow parallel light to enter from the convex side. *Doing it the other way around may increase spherical aberration and make the focused line thicker. *Uncoated products have a transmittance of about 90% due to losses caused by reflections on the front and back surfaces of the lens.
