Zieta Kawat Las 60HCR Series

An extra high chromium wear facing alloy that produces the ultimate in chromium carbide formations in an austenitic matrix that out wears conventional electrodes in this category. The uniformly extruded coating and special core wire assures low temperature fusion with a minimum dilution to the base metal. Welds take a high polish and maintain their hardness up to 650°C. Use ZIETA 30 for a base when heavy build-ups are required.

APPLICATIONS:
For use where wear resistance and toughness are required on all heavy worn out parts. Typical examples include: conveyor screws for palm oil and cement, crusher parts, pulverizing rollers, dipper teeth, bucket lips, earth moving equipments and hot rolling dies.

PROCEDURE:
Remove all welds and clean the surface to be welded, and use either AC or DC, reverse polarity. Use a short arc gap and deposit a two-layer thickness for optimum results. Cool slowly to prevailing temperature.
