Zieta Kawat Las 55 Series

Special-coated welding electrode that produces porosity-free weld deposits. Specially designed for maintenance of cast iron with low carbon composition. Slag is very easy to remove and the weld deposit solidifies evenly. Can be used without preheating and remains machinable.
Composition:
|C = 0.75, Mn = 0.60, Ni = 0.67, Si = 55.5, Fe = Remainder

APPLICATIONS:
Use ZIETA 55 for maintenance of cast iron, including motor housings, gears, sprockets, transmission housings. Suitable for joining cast steel and cast iron with alloy steels and other cast irons.

PROCEDURE:
Remove all rust, dirt, and oil from the surface to be welded. Use either AC or DC with any polarity. Maintain a short arc using a light weaving technique. Clean the slag between passes. Cover the completed weldment with asbestos or dry sand to slow the cooling process.
