Zieta Kawat Las 310 Series

A-high temperature all position electrode for joining and build-up of heat-resistant Cr-Ni steels of the same kind, and all types of stainless steels of high temperature service requirements. Scale resistant up to 1,200 C. Extremely high deposition rates and good weldability. Slag removal is excellent and deposits are dense, smooth, crack desensitized and resistant to heat and corrosion.

C=0.09, Mn=1.52, Si=0.25, Ni=20.80, P=0.016, S=0.010, Cr=25.20

APPLICATIONS:
The fully austenitic non-magnetic weld deposit of ZIETA 310 is best suitable for welding valves, cast steels, storage tanks, boiler pipes, galvanizing kettle, furnace linings and steels of high hardening properties such as 13% Cr steel, Cr-Mo steel, Cr-Mo steel etc., which is difficult to preheat and post heat.

PROCEDURE
Either AC or D.C, reverse polarity. Clean weld area, bevel heavy sections. Preheat high alloy, cast steel and high carbon steels to that required by base metal. Peening to relieve stresses is beneficial. Stringer beads or a short weave is suggested. No preheat required for stainless steels.
