Zieta Kawat Las 308L Series

A lime titania type stainless electrode with excellent weldability, which gives an extra low carbon 20% Cr and 10% Ni austenitic weld deposits. Excellent resistance to intercrystalline corrosion compared to other ordinary 308 type. An all position electrode, deposits fast smooth welds with minimum spatter, slag removal is excellent and deposits are well contoured. ZIETA 308 is an electrode for all types of stainless steels of general corrosion and oxidation resistance.

APPLICATIONS:
Widely used for welding and lining of tanks, pipings and other equipments used in food and chemical industries, breweries, textiles, oil mills, sugar & pharmaceuticals. For types 301, 302, 304, 305, 306 and 308-L stainless steels.

PROCEDURE
Use AC or DC, reverse polarity. Clean area to be welded. Do not preheat, employ low side of amperage setting to minimize the formation of carbide precipitation, maintain a short arc gap and use skip welding technique to distribute heat input evenly. Slag will peel off easily after each pass cools.
