Feature
An all position crack-free type of electrode designed for hard facing, with good weldability and good machining properties. ZIETA 30 weld deposits are tough, dense, flawless with high compressive strength that can provide ample support for hard facing overlays. Also used as final overlay on parts that must be machined. Positively non-cracking.Composition:
C=0.5, Mn=1.5, Cr=3.0, Si=0.66
Use
APPLICATIONS:Build-up of carbon steel and low alloy steels, heavy equipments parts, industrial machineries, rebuilding of shafts, sprockets and rollers, very ideal for under base of hard facing alloys. Also used at times as final overlay on parts that must be machined.
PROCEDURE
Can be applied AC or DC either polarity in stringer or weave beads. Maximum deposition with DC straight polarity or AC. Operates well with drag arc or normal arc. Short arc reduces spatter. Slag removal is exceptionally easy.
