Applications and characteristics: Overlay welding of tapping dies, mixer braids, etc.
Suitable for overlaying welding of worn parts subjected to sand abrasion and heat.
Ideally, perform post-weld heat treatment at around 600°C. Machining is difficult.
Examples of weld metal hardness (Vickers hardness):
As-welded 634
, After heat treatment 580 (600℃ x 1h AC).
Recommended preheating/interpass temperature: 200℃ or higher.
