Description
A Spears CPVC Equal Tee is a T-shaped industrial pipe fitting used to split or combine fluid flows across three pipes of the same diameter. Manufactured by Spears Manufacturing, these fittings are made of Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), ensuring exceptional durability and resistance to heat and corrosive liquids.
Feature
- Design: An equal tee features three identical nominal connection ports, allowing the main pipeline to branch off at a 90-degree angle.- Material: Constructed from high-quality, gray CPVC (Cell Classification 23447 per ASTM D1784).
- Temperature Resistance: Handles continuous service temperatures up to 200° F (or 210° F depending on the specific formula).
- Chemical & Corrosion Resistance: Will not rust, scale, or pit, making it ideal for hot corrosive liquids and process plumbing.
- Standards & Compliance: Molded for high-pressure handling (commonly Schedule 80), and certified by NSF International for potable water use.
- Installation: Typically joined using solvent cementing (slip fit/socket)
