Description
By reflecting the image twice with a mirror, the mirror-symmetrical reflected image is converted into an upright image that is the same as the object. Before cameras were digitalized, a pentaprism was used to bend the light beam from the object at a right angle so that the image would not be mirror-symmetrical. It is also used as a right-angle reference for laser levels.
