This preloaded MCE filter, including support pads, has a pore size of 0.45 μm and a diameter of 37 mm. It is pre-assembled in a BestChek(R) certified 4-piece transparent styrene (conventional) cassette and has been quality-tested to ensure low asbestos background. Band-treated versions are also available, and conductive cassette versions are offered.
SKC Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE) membrane filters are composed of a bioinert, high-purity mixture of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, and are standard in many aerosol sampling applications in the field of workplace environmental measurement. SKC MCE membrane filters are hydrophilic, autoclavable, have low metallic background, and are suitable for dilute acids and alkalis, as well as aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
