Description
Collet style flange spreaders separate pipes when there is no space between the flanges or when damage to the faces is a concern. These mechanical spreaders operate by inserting collets into the bolt holes on the flange. Once the collets are engaged and tightened, the cantilever and actuator arms are locked in position and the actuator is tensioned using a torque wrench. These tools should be used in pairs to ensure even distribution and help minimize damage.
