SWITCH SCIENCE Pitch Conversion Module for PCA9629APW Stepper Motor Driver

This pitch conversion board features the NXP PCA9629APW stepper motor controller. It generates stepper motor pulses based on register settings written via the ^I2C bus. The PCA9629APW does not include a built-in motor driver; therefore, a separate driver must be provided to match the motor. It can control 4-phase unipolar stepper motors. It has four 25mA motor output ports. It supports 1-phase, 2-phase, and 1-2-phase drive modes. It can set the motor step count or continuous operation. It can set the motor stop state. It can program ramp-up at startup and ramp-down at shutdown. It has a 32-bit step counter, a watchdog function, four GPIO ports, and various interrupt functions from the IC. The I2C interface is I2C. The ^I2C address can be set from 0x40 (0100 000x) to 0x5E (0101 111x). It includes a pattern for an ^I2C pull-up resistor (resistor not implemented).
*Regarding pin headers: Please prepare your own pin headers and solder them according to your needs. *Regarding ^I2C pull-up resistors: By default, ^I2C pull-up resistors are not installed. If you want to add one, solder a 1608-size chip resistor to R1 and R2 on the back of the board. Since the chip resistor and pin header are close together, we recommend installing the chip resistor first. *Regarding ^I2C addresses: The default I2C address is 0x44 (0100 010X) as set by the solder jumpers (AD1, AD0) on the back of the board. *The ^I2C address can be changed by modifying the solder jumpers as shown in the table below.
