This USB to UART interconversion module uses the FTDI FT232R. It can transmit and receive data in both directions between the Pmod connector and the microUSB connector at speeds of over 3Mbaud. The microUSB connector outputs a 3.3V UART signal. It includes a microUSB connector, supplies power to the system board via the FTDI chip, and is compliant with the Digilent Pmod Interface Specification Type 4.
*There are two types of UART signal pin assignments used in Digilent products. This product uses the new signal assignments. To connect a product using the new signal assignments to a product using the old signal assignments, you must use a UART crossover cable.
