The memory consists of 8 bits of 128 K words each. The built-in non-volatile element incorporates Quantum Trap technology, making it the world's most reliable non-volatile memory. While SRAM provides infinite read/write cycles, Quantum Trap cells provide reliable non-volatile data storage. Data transfer from SRAM to non-volatile elements (STORE operation) occurs automatically on power down. On power up, data is restored from non-volatile memory (RECALL operation) to SRAM. STORE and RECALL operations can also be initiated using SPI instructions.
