Description
AFBR-16xxZ Series Fiber Optic Transmitters. Avago Technologies' AFBR-16xxZ transmitters utilize a 650 nm light-emitting diode (LED) source. Integrated optics and a driver IC allow efficient interfacing with 1 mm polymer optical fiber (POF). The AFBR-16xxZ input is compatible with TTL logic families. The 3-pin transmitters can be nested (N-plexed) in Versatile Link housings to optimize space or achieve dual connectivity with duplex connectors. The AFBR-16xxZ transmitters and AFBR-26x4Z/25x9Z receivers support signals from DC to 50 Mbd. 50 MBd: up to 50 m (using 1 mm POF); 10 MBd: up to 200 m; and 50 MBd: up to 120 m (using 200 μm plastic-clad silica (PCS)).
