Optical Encoders. Avago Technologies' motion control optical encoders are available in two- and three-channel output options. These incremental encoders utilize optical technology for motion control. Incremental encoders provide position feedback in increments. While the feedback signal is always referenced to a starting or home position, incremental encoders provide a uniquely defined relative position. Avago Technologies offers both optical reflective and optical transmissive incremental encoders. These products are available as user-integrated encoder modules or as fully enclosed or incremental encoder kits. This optical encoder series provides precise positioning and velocity sensing for a variety of applications. Applications include: Printers, copiers, scanners, servo/stepper motor feedback systems, robotic arms, and wafer handling machines.
