SpecificationLM78 Series Positive Voltage Regulators, Texas Instruments. Texas Instruments offers a wide range of linear voltage regulators for fixed voltage regulation, including the LM78, LM78L, and LM78M series. These three-terminal positive regulators provide current outputs of 1 A (LM78xx), 100 mA (LM78Lxx), and 500 mA (LM78Mxx) or more. They can regulate voltage and current for external devices without the need for external components. All voltage regulators feature a thermal shutdown.
