FTDI Chip USB-TTL UART Cable. FTDI Chip TTL-232x USB-to-Serial UART (TTL Level) Converter Cables allow you to quickly and easily convert your microcontroller's UART serial I/O to USB. The TTL-232R contains a small circuit board with an FT232x chip. It's housed within a USB-A connector, simplifying the cable's use. This circuit is powered from the USB +5V power pin. The Vcc connection is always +5V DC; however, +3.3V or +5V signals can be used with TTL logic levels. These cables are compatible with Microsoft WHQL-certified VCP drivers for Windows, Apple Mac, and Linux, which are available free of charge from the FTDI website . USB 2.0 compatible.
