Description
High-temperature CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) rods and discs undergo a chlorination process that enhances their resistance to high temperatures that could melt or distort standard PVC. They are commonly fabricated into hot water fittings, tanks, and liners. CPVC can be cut, machined, and bonded much like PVC, but it requires slower cutting speeds and protecting tools from chlorine, which can corrode them.
