Because it does not contain serum, there is little variation between lots, allowing for stable use.
Frozen cells can be frozen in a deep freezer (-80°C). This can be done without using special equipment such as a programmable freezer.
Xeno-free (does not contain any animal-derived materials other than humans), making it suitable for research into human-derived cells, human ES/iPS cells, and regenerative medicine.
