It features two soft-grip handles, a ratchet mechanism, a precision ground die assembly, a locator, and a wire stopper. The die assembly has three cavities for wire sizes 24 AWG, 26 AWG, and 28/30 AWG. The tool load is preset and easily adjustable. Ratchet Mechanism: The ratchet is preset to a certain force and remains locked until the handles are fully closed and the dies are engaged. The handles cannot be opened until the crimp cycle is complete, preventing incomplete crimps. The handles open once the crimp cycle is complete. The ratchet ensures consistent, repeatable crimps. In the event of jamming or misplaced terminals, an emergency ratchet release lever allows the handles to be easily opened. Locator and Wire Stop: To ensure accurate terminal placement during crimping, this hand crimping tool features an easy-to-use flap-style locator. The locator easily opens, ensuring the terminal is inserted on the correct side. Once the terminal is inserted, the locator returns to its original position and the crimping tool closes to the first ratchet.
