JST VL Series 6.2mm Wire-to-Wire Socket Housings for Pin Contacts. The VL Series wire-to-wire crimp-style socket housings for pin contacts have a 6.2mm pitch and are available in free-hanging or panel mounting configurations. The VL Series socket-style wire-to-wire housings are ideal for use in circuits requiring high power requirements, up to 20 A under load with the VL Series crimp contacts. These housings feature an integrated lance for easy contact insertion and secure locking in place. The housing lance allows for the use of lanceless contacts, preventing wire tangling and lance deformation. Internal and external locking mechanisms are integrated to prevent accidental disconnection due to vibration or wiring routing. For panel mounting, the VL Series connector housings feature a space-saving panel lock. This lock prevents wire tangling or damage due to cold/dry climates. The VL Series socket housings are ideal for use in panel thicknesses from 0.5 to 2.0 mm and are available in two panel cutout designs. Pin contacts for these socket housings must be purchased separately. A secondary retainer is also available to fully secure the contact and prevent accidental disconnection.
