Yamawa Spiral Tap for Hard-to-Cut Stainless Steel (for Metric Threads)

This is for use exclusively with machines equipped with a fully synchronized lead feed mechanism.
The SU2-SP uses a special shape that leaves a few full threads on the screw section and removes half of the remaining threads.
The special shape of the screw part effectively prevents chipping of the entire thread, reduces tapping torque and frictional resistance, and maintains screw guideability.
The unique groove shape improves chip removal.
For blind hole machining.
Workpiece materials: stainless steel, low, medium and high carbon steel, alloy steel.
* Do not use this tap on a machine that is not equipped with a fully synchronized lead feed mechanism, as it may cause the female screw to expand or break.
