This is an optical fiber cable that complies with the OM3 specification and is capable of 10 gigabit high-speed communication compatible with 10GBASE-SR/SW standard transmission. It is an optical fiber cable that can be used with 10Gigabit Ethernet such as 10GBASE-S and FibreChannel, and is ideal for long-distance communication (up to 300m). It supports VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) light sources and defines a "limited mode excitation band" that is not specified in the conventional OM1 and OM2. By passing a tension member through the cable, it is designed so that the pulling tension is not directly applied to the optical fiber itself. Connector protection mesh covers are attached on both ends, which are convenient when wiring and do not damage the connectors.
