You can assign the functions of the standard Japanese 109 keyboard using the dedicated software. It can be switched between three modes. MODE1 can be assigned to the 8 keys other than the numeric keypad. MODE2 and MODE3 can be assigned to all 27 keys. The three modes can be switched by simply pressing the MODE button on the numeric keypad. It is designed to be used in both portrait and landscape orientations. The assigned contents are displayed on the PC screen so that the assigned characters and functions can be seen at a glance. The assigned functions are stored in the memory of the numeric keypad, so once you set them, you can use the same functions even on a computer that does not have a driver. (Some functions are stored on the PC side, so you may need to set them for each PC.) You can assign frequently used software and start the software just by pressing a key. The cover of the key top can be removed, so you can stick stickers with the assigned characters. It uses the same 19mm key pitch as a desktop keyboard. It is a solid and deep membrane key system like a normal desktop keyboard. When used as a numeric keypad, it is designed to be safe without NumLock.
