HPE StoreEver LTO Ultrium Tape Drives represent the ninth generation of Linear Tape Open (LTO) technology, storing up to 45TB1 per cartridge. HPE StoreEver LTO Ultrium Tape Drives deliver unprecedented performance and ease of use with hardware-encrypted data encryption and the Linear Tape File System (LTFS) from HPE StoreOpen. Hardware encryption of data using AES 256-bit provides easy security to protect your most sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access to your tape cartridges. LTFS is an open format for storing data on tape, making LTO Generation 5 and later self-describing and file-based. Supporting native data transfer rates of up to 300MB/s, Data Rate Matching optimizes performance by keeping the drive streaming at the speed of the host system, enabling faster tape speeds.
