By miniaturizing the IS (image stabilization) unit, adopting a retractable structure, and utilizing electronic distortion correction on the camera, we have achieved an aperture value of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range, while achieving a compact and lightweight design with a total length of approximately 91.0 mm (when stored) and a weight of approximately 445 g.
In addition to its excellent portability, the ultra-wide-angle zoom range of 16mm to 28mm focal length allows you to capture a wide range of surroundings in a limited space or inside a building, or to capture vast landscapes, making the most of a dynamic sense of perspective.
When used in conjunction with the RF28-70mm F2.8 IS STM, the two lenses can cover a variety of shooting scenes, from ultra-wide 16mm to medium telephoto 70mm*1.
At a focal length of 28mm, the minimum focusing distance is 0.2m and the maximum magnification is 0.26x, allowing you to take close-up shots of your subject.
