ADVANTEC PTFE Filter Paper PF100

PTFE filter paper is a flexible, resilient sheet filter made from pure fibrous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It can be used continuously at temperatures ranging from -120°C to 260°C and is suitable for autoclave, dry heat, and ethylene oxide gas sterilization. Its excellent chemical resistance, including resistance to acids, alkalis, oxidizers, and organic solvents, means it can be used with most chemicals except for special chemicals such as fluorine gas, chlorine trifluoride, and molten alkali metals at high temperatures and pressures. Its hydrophobic properties (water-repellent properties) make it less susceptible to humidity during gas filtration and it hardly adsorbs acidic gases. Special processing during filter manufacturing ensures that almost no fibers are released from the filter. After filtration, the filter can be washed with chemicals for repeated use. Its low coefficient of friction, electrical properties, non-stickiness, and release properties make it easier to recover residue from the filter after filtration than cellulose filter paper. It is used as a prefilter for filtering high viscosity organic solvents, when there is a lot of suspended solids, and as a filter for collecting suspended particulate matter in the air.
