It has higher strength than products without binder treatment and prevents fibers from coming off, so it is used for liquid filtration.
It has a pore size of approximately 1 μm and is widely used to measure suspended solids (SS) in water as specified in JIS K 0101 (testing methods for industrial water) and JIS K 0102 (testing methods for industrial wastewater).
It is used as a tape sampler for beta-ray atmospheric dust continuous measurement equipment.
