A simple structure employing IDEC's unique "positive load reversal mechanism" provides highly reliable overcurrent protection. The thermal trip method (bimetal type) prevents malfunction (shutoff) caused by deterioration due to inrush current, as occurs with fuses.
You can select and use a product with a rated current equivalent to the object to be protected, so it can also provide overload protection for circuits with large inrush currents that are difficult to protect with fuses.
It has a lifespan of 200 times (when tripping at 200% of the rated current) and can be reused, making it more economical than fuses and requiring less maintenance.
The sealed type with manual off mechanism is convenient for inspecting circuits and can be washed after soldering.
