Omega Universal Non-Melt Grease

Omega 71 is a drop point stable grease, capable of withstanding temperatures as high as 260°C (500°F)! Because it is a 'soap' type grease with an unstable drop point, ordinary greases quickly deteriorate under heat. In contrast, Omega 71 contains a highly refined, solid supplement, which is unlikely to melt, which provides a carrier for the mineral oil. As a 'carrier', it remains stable up to (and including) a drop point of 260°C (500°F). Ordinary greases are unable to withstand the temperature changes and begin to melt at temperatures well below 260°C (500°F).
 
Lubricant Power
Omega 71 is not only a temperature resistant lubricant, because this grease also provides special lubricating power that prevents wear and increases equipment durability.
 
Supplement Protection
Omega 71 contains a solid supplement, consisting of montmorillonite particles, which form a 'cushion' between metal surfaces,
which remains undamaged even at extreme temperatures! Ordinary greases are unable to form this 'barrier' and therefore quickly break down or disintegrate.
 
Thermohydrodynamic Lubrication
Omega 71 provides maximum protection for a wide range of equipment, made possible by the development of Omega 71's hydrodynamic concept; where a wedge is formed in areas of constant wear. This wedge not only resists the evaporation tendencies that occur during thermal cycles, but also resists the intense frictional resistance caused by heat and pressure. Omega 71's ability to 'suppress' the natural migration of a lubricant is a remarkable feature of the Omega family of lubricants.
Conventional greases used for high-temperature applications quickly degrade and leave friction areas unprotected, causing metal-to-metal contact, which in turn leads to wear and seizure. Furthermore, conventional greases are unstable and require constant topping up. Their tendency to melt and leave their places is hazardous to equipment and its maintenance.
