Omega Superior Thermal Stability Heat Transfer Oil

Omega 660 is a high-quality heat transfer lubricant with exceptional thermal stability. It is designed for the highest operating standards and resists the tendency to sludge formation common with lower-grade oils.
Omega 660 is made from highly refined, low-viscosity base oils, greatly improving heat transfer and resistance to thermal cracking that occurs at elevated temperatures.
 
Enhanced Thermal Stability
Conventional heat-conducting oils lack the stability at extreme temperatures to prevent the formation of sludge and solid oil-containing components on internal components in contact with the oil. Omega 660, however, stands out because it contains a series of additives that provide maximum thermal stability at high temperatures, over thousands of temperature cycles (starts and stops).
These special additives reduce deposits to a level that is neither harmful nor detrimental. The proprietary dispersant also controls sludge, which could otherwise reduce heat transfer.
Omega 660's improved thermal efficiency eliminates the need for frequent draining, disposal and replenishment of the heat transfer oil system.

Omega 660 ensures fast and highly efficient heat transfer to the process environment. Its high viscosity index minimizes viscosity variations during temperature fluctuations. For the first time, the heat transfer rate is precisely controlled due to Omega 660's stable viscosity.
Because it uses selected petroleum-based ingredients, Omega 660 has a very low evaporation rate. Its low vapor pressure and high boiling point allow the heat transfer system to operate at both low pressures and high temperatures.
 
Lower Operating Costs
Omega 60's lower viscosity at all operating temperatures reduces energy requirements for pumping and circulation. Smaller pumps can be used, or existing larger pumps can be run at lower, more economical speeds due to the low load Omega 660 allows for at start-up. Under normal conditions, Omega 660 is safe and completely non-toxic.
 
Usage
Omega 660 is designed for use in closed heat transfer systems, equipped with expansion tanks, operating up to 320°C (608°F). This lubricant is ideal as a heat transfer medium in a wide range of processing industries, such as plastics, waxes, resins, fiberboard, varnishes, asphalt, grease, rubber, soap, and pharmaceutical plants. Omega 660 allows for very tight temperature control.
