Omega 917 is a new type of lubricant designed to lubricate, protect and extend the service life of all types of seals.
Seals on pumps, mining machinery, marine motors, construction equipment, and automotive transmissions are not designed to last forever. The operating conditions of the equipment and the condition of the seals when they are first installed determine their lifespan. Every maintenance technician recognizes seal deterioration as a major cause of equipment malfunctions, resulting in costly machine failures. It's common for seals to age and begin to deteriorate even before they are installed. Because of their composition, seals must be continually lubricated to prevent drying out. When seals dry out (shrink or harden), they become ineffective. As aging progresses, seals peel and crack, leading to serious leaks.
 
Cheap Maintenance
Omega 917 is a truly cost-effective preventive maintenance aid. When added to a leaking transmission, Omega 917 will immediately stop the leak. When used on an engine with good seals, Omega 917 will continue to protect the seals from future degradation.
If the seal has peeled or cracked, the only option is to replace it. A cracked seal can result in the loss of a gallon (2 quarts) or more of fluid per week. A damaged seal can ultimately cause serious damage to the entire transmission or transmission unit. Replacing the seal is a major undertaking. The transmission must be completely opened and disassembled, and this process is expensive.
 
Special Properties
Omega 917 does not contain any harmful chlorides or solvents, while most transmission additives on the market today do, causing more harm than good.
One of the functions of transmission additives is to soften seals and make them pliable. Solvents can make seals flexible, but solvent additives make seals too soft. If solvent additives are used, the seals won't be able to withstand the pressure exerted on the components, causing the seals to "break."
Chlorine additives attack rubber and quickly cause severe damage. Moisture, such as condensation, when combined with chloride, causes a chemical reaction, resulting in the formation of acid. The acid attacks metal and seals, causing leaks and corrosion in the transmission.
Omega 917 not only restores seals to their original condition but also allows them to remain flexible and function properly. Most engineers, mechanics, and transmission technicians used to distrust the use of transmission or seal additives for two basic reasons:
Solvent additives are too softening.
Chloride additives damage rubber and cause metal rust.
Therefore, avoid using conventional transmission additives. Solvent-based transmission additives remove varnish from the transmission walls, which penetrates, clumps, and clogs working components, holes, and fluid circulation channels. Clumps from conventional transmission additives cause more damage than good.

Omega 917 is a completely different product. It is a new product developed by Omega scientists. It contains no harmful chlorides, solvents, or other hazardous materials. Omega 917 is made from 99% PURE phosphate esters and 1% synergistic non-chlorine, non-petroleum materials. Using Omega 917 will definitely stop automatic transmission leaks in less than 160 km (100 miles), or within one week.
