The Wood Moisture Meter provides accurate moisture analyses for ten different material types, including drywall, masonry, hardwood, softwood, anhydrite screed (wt%), anhydrite screed (CM%), cement screed (wt%), cement screed (CM%), concrete and gypsum screed. It uses a capacitive measuring method and the sensor works inductively.
The Wood Moisture Meter has two limit value settings which are shown on a bar graph and are designed for the 10 material types that our Wood Moisture Meter can analyse. The first alarm point activates a rapid beep and the yellow LED when the moisture is between 20% and 69%. The second alarm point, which responds at values between 70% and 100%, generates a continuous tone and lights up the red LED. These functions ensure reliable moisture monitoring and provide clear audible and visual warning signals.
The Wood Moisture Meter also has a hold function and an automatic power off function. The readings are shown on a 2-inch backlit LC display which also displays a battery warning.
The Wood Moisture Meter is ideal for use in construction and renovation projects to check moisture levels in walls, floors, and ceilings. It is often used by site managers, tradesmen, and surveyors to ensure that materials are dry and ready for processing. It is also useful in woodworking, quality control of construction sites and in the refurbishment of damp rooms to prevent mould growth and other damage.
