RS PRO Digital Refractometer
Introducing the RS PRO Digital Refractometer, ideal for measuring the concentration of a substance within a liquid. The liquid sample is easily calibrated with distilled or deionised water which the device measures using a refractive index and then is converted to Brix % concentration units. The digital brix meter has a large, backlit LCD display which makes it easy to read, while the data memory function allows readings to be taken and analysed further at a later time. This refractometer is a versatile measuring device that can be used in a wide range of industries to provide accurate liquid concentration measurement in a variety of environments.
Applications:
Refractometers are devices used to measure the index of refraction in liquids, gases or translucent solids. The samples are commonly measured using Brix units or scale which works on the basis that the light passes through the sample containing dissolved solids that is then interrupted and slowed down - so bent or 'refracted'.
