Description
Three phase IEC low voltage range
A high quality standard range of electric motors with a specification suitable for most industrial applications. It covers products from as little as 0.18kW up to 315kW in frame sizes 63 to 355L.

- Motor cooling
Motors are cooled in accordance with IEC 60034-6. The normal arrangement is IC411 (Totally Enclosed Fan Ventilated) via a fan mounted at the non-drive end. Alternative methods of cooling available on request.
- Inverter duty
Motors are suitable for use on inverter supplies per the requirement of IEC 60034-17. Dependent upon application, some derating may be required. Contact Western Electric's distributor for the full details.
- Environment
Enclosure
All motors are constructed to IP55 enclosure as defined in IEC EN 60034-5.
- Insulation
The components of the insulation system are selected so as to ensure good protection against chemically aggressive gases, vapours, dust, oil and air humidity. All materials used for Insulating classes F or H according to IEC 60085:
Enamel-insulated copper wires with temperature index 200 (Class H).
Insulating sheet on polyester base (Class F).
Impregnation with fenolic resins modified with polyester resins (Class H).
Limit temperature for insulating material according IEC 60085.
- Temperature Rise
Standard single-speed continuous duty (S1) motors have temperature rise within class B limit. Motors with higher output and pole-changing motors normally have temperature rise within Class F limit.
