Five basic characteristics
1. Absorbs 12 times its own weight against mineral oil and animal and vegetable oil
2. Hollow structure that does not sink in water, so buoyancy performance is further improved! The specific gravity of the material is 0.9, so it does not sink in water. Moreover, "AR-30C" has even more buoyancy than conventional products. It has the advantage of being easy to recover after absorbing oil.
3. Almost no water absorption The polypropylene fiber material has excellent oleophilicity and hydrophobicity. Even if water is contained between the fibers, it has the characteristic of "water-oil replacement ability" that expels water when it absorbs oil.
4. Excellent shape stability Since it is a spunbond nonwoven fabric made of continuous long fibers, it has excellent strength. In addition, since no adhesive is used, there is no sticky feeling during work.
5. Tufnel® itself does not emit toxic gases when burned. The combustion temperature is about 910°C, the same as kerosene and diesel. *Tufnel® itself is made from the same material as household garbage bags.
