Electrode and Vial Starter Kit
The starter pack allows customers to explore a wide range of electrochemical possibilities with different reaction scales. Further electrode selection can be explored on the accessories page. Two electrode approaches are given as examples.

Graphite is an affordable carbon electrode for early detection or discovery; RVC is a carbon foam electrode that has a larger surface area which is useful for increasing electron efficiency; glassy carbon is not only metal-free but also has a flat surface. These electrodes are included in the starter pack. Another carbon-based material option is boron doped diamond which is a metal-free carbon material. Carbon-based materials are very helpful in the synthesis of C-C and C-N bond formation reactions.

Platinum is useful for C-C bond formation. Platinum can be used as a sacrificial anode and cathode which facilitates proton reduction. Platinum foil and platinum coated on ceramics are provided by IKA.
